Jutta & Steven Wanneroo Botanical Gardens Wedding Photography

It’s not too often that I do 2 weddings in 1 day, but due to a change of wedding date, and 2 very lovely and kind couples I was able to photograph Jutta and Steven’s wedding as well as another earlier on in the day! Jutta and Steven had chosen to have a late afternoon wedding to try and escape the summer heat. Being surrounded by the lush tropical rainforests at Wanneroo Botanic Gardens it was still quite warm but being in the shade certainly helped to take the edge off of the temperature.

Such a lovely couple whom I had met with prior at the venue to walk through and discuss their plans for their wedding day, they both wanted to capture their day and the love shared, but without too much posed or styled photos – opting instead for the ever popular candid and natural documentary styled photography that I love!

Part of the ceremony was focused on Steve’s beautiful writing ability, quite a wordsmith he had crafted an amazing poem for Jutta describing their journey together and his excitement for their future! Such a lovely sentiment that certainly brought forth a few tears!

Following their ceremony, many hugs and kind words from their guests, and a big group photo, the bridal party and myself roamed around the beautiful gardens to get their bridal portraits! Finishing up in their reception marquee to celebrate with their loved ones

Thank you both for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day, I wish you both all the absolute most happiness together <3

Rachel & Jimmy Amberley Gardens Wedding Photography

Rachel and Jimmy were married in a morning ceremony at the beautiful Amberley Gardens. With a gorgeous outdoor reception setting, and surrounded by the lovely gardens as well as their loving friends and family they exchanged their vows to one another! It was quite a warm day but nothing that umbrellas couldn’t fix! While Jimmy and his groomsmen awaited Rachel’s arrival, the guests stood underneath the beautiful shade that was available from the lush gardens.

Rachel’s arrival was perfectly on time (not so common for brides!!) and the ceremony begun without a hitch, as Rachel’s father walked her down the red carpet aisle in amongst the roses! After exchanging their vows, they signed their official documents under the shade of the gazebo as their loved ones watched on, and following their introduction as husband and wife they made their way over into some shade to receive their guests congratulations, laughter and love <3

Once everyone had a chance to give the happy couple their well wishes, it was time for a group photo. At 5’2 I usually have trouble getting everyone in the photo, but as Amberley has a beautiful big windmill I was able to go to the top floor and photograph the crowd out of the window! What a sight! Following this, the guests made their way down to the reception area for a cool drink and the bridal party, with me, set off around the grounds for their portraits! It was a very warm day so we didn’t spend too long out in the sun, but long enough to capture many beautiful images. With such a fun bridal party it wasn’t hard!

The lovely couple finished up with photos cutting their cake and entering their reception to the cheers and claps of their guests! I borrowed their rings and bouquet for a few moments to get some detail photos and was graced upon by a little lady bug who sat still for a few moments for one of my favorite ring photos!

Wishing you both all the happiness in the world <3

Tara & Ryan Guildford Lilac Hill Park Wedding Photography

The absolutely beautiful Tara and Ryan were married on quite a warm (from memory 37 or 38C day) at Lilac Hill Park in Guildford. Such a lovely rural setting so close to the town center. Tara arrived in a beautiful vintage limo and was escorted in by her very proud father! There ceremony was conducted by a good friend and went off without a hitch except for a few bugs and even a spider that made their way up into the layers on Tara’s dress!

After a lovely ceremony surrounded by a very large crowd of their loved ones, it was time to try and get a group photo of everyone! Thankfully there was a fallen tree that I was able to use as leverage to get everyone in frame. Following some congratulations in the shade – assisted by a lot of very cold water bottles, we made our way around the park for the bridal party images. Such a fun bridal party, we got lots of candid and fun photos. Due to the heat, the bridal party stopped for a break in the shade underneath the traffic bridge while I photographed the rings and bouquet. This made for a great photo itself!

A last minute request from the bride and groom saw us trekking through the hay stubble of the nearby paddock to a beautiful big shady tree in amongst the hay bales. What a photo opportunity!

It was then back to their property for the reception where they had a wonderfully large marquee set up for all of their guests, complete with the must have candy bar!

I wish you both the absolute best in your lives together <3

Natalie & Jason Araluen Botanical Gardens Wedding Photography

Natalie and Jason were married on Saturday the 29th of October, 2016 at the beautiful Araluen Botanical Gardens. Their wedding day was blessed with rain which is said to be good luck! However a little bit of rain did absolutely nothing to dampen this beautiful couples very intimate wedding, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The sun even came out a few times throughout in between the scattered showers. A few ducks even joined the wedding party!

Unable to have their ceremony underneath a beautiful big tree they had chosen, we relocated to the walkway and the guests watched on proudly as Natalie and Jason promised their love to each other. Their ceremony was sealed with the releasing of a few dozen beautiful butterflies, who since it was quite a cool day, were still drowsy and stayed around on Natalie’s dress, bouquet and head! Which made for beautiful photos.

After their ceremony, and a group photo – we ventured around the grounds of Araluen to find the perfect locations for their bridal photos. With no official bridal party, it was just the 3 of us (and a few tag along butterflies!) so it was a very lovely, intimate and easy process! And thankfully the rain held off for the rest of the afternoon.

Such a lovely couple, choosing to share the rest of their lives together – thank you for allowing me to be the one that captured your love! <3
