Rhiarne & Max – Vines Resort Winter Wedding Photography

Max and Rhiarne were married on an overcast Wintery day at the beautiful Vines Resort. Their celebrant, John Dendy, is someone I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside numerous times and it’s always great to work with familiar vendors!

Walked down the aisle by her beaming Father towards her excited groom, Rhiarne looked stunning. A very emotion filled ceremony with a reading from a loved one and lots of teary eyes in the crowd. The rain held off long enough for us to get the group and family portraits on the lawns nearby, and then we were off in a golf cart around the grounds for their bridal portraits. One of the spots we stopped were amongst the sleeping grape vines and which were quite a backdrop!

Such an in love and happy couple – I wish you all the very best with your little family, almost 1 year on from your special day <3

Singapore Family Holiday Photography

I recently had the pleasure of meeting and photographing the lovely Soh family who holidayed in Perth all the way from Singapore! Claire contacted me while they were still overseas to capture some family photographs in the stunning Swan Valley region where they were staying at Kellers Bed and Breakfast.

A lot of couples in particular from Singapore come to Australia for their pre-wedding photography and for family photographs, however, the Soh family were the first that had contacted me! I was so excited that a family from so far away had found me through the power of the internet and we quickly made plans to go to the beautiful Whiteman Park which is close by to where they were staying. They had plans to go to the Caversham Wildlife Park after our photoshoot so it all tied in perfectly!

We spent half an hour enjoying and exploring the stunning greenery and open spaces of Whiteman Park, in between their daughter excitedly pointing out various bugs and insects. As a country girl who grew up loving all creatures great and small I loved her enthusiasm and attention to detail for someone so young!

It was such an honour to have been chosen from all of the family photographers in Perth to capture these special memories for such a lovely family, I’m so excited to be able to share them with you and the beautiful review that they left for me down below!

“We are a family from Singapore and were going to Perth on a year-end holiday. So we were thinking of also doing an overseas family shoot while we were staying in Swan. We found Gemma from Fox and Luna Photography who proved to be very responsive right from the moment we first messaged her.

Gemma gave us plenty of support, giving us detailed directions of how to get to a particular area in Whiteman Park for our photoshoot. Before our trip, Gemma sent an e-mail to ensure that the photoshoot was still on. Even when we got to Perth, Gemma was ensuring that we knew exactly where to go that morning.

When we finally met Gemma, she came across as one with a very bubbly character. During the photoshoot, she was extremely confident of where to go and how to pose. The children had no problems understanding her and we ended up having quite a fun time during the photoshoot. We had lots of time to visit Caversham Wildlife Park after the photoshoot. We managed to receive our photos before we left Perth. It was a brainwave to have the package in digital images, so that you can just have the photoshoot and receive the digital images in a shared folder.

If you are like us, from out of town and going to be in the Perth area for a holiday and looking at a special overseas family photoshoot during the trip, we would highly recommend Gemma. It will all work out nicely with her around.

Thanks Gemma for everything!! Considering we didn’t even have a family photoshoot done in Singapore, this was extra special for us!! Everyone back at home have been singing praises of the excellently taken pictures!! We wish you every success in your passion for photography!!”

I first met Karly when I started going to a neighboring country town high school 2008. Such a vibrant, energetic and friendly individual, I was excited to be asked to capture Karly & Jack’s special day!

The day started off at the Golden Ponds for bridal preparation. Such a busy morning with people coming and going, making sure that everyone was going to plan. Not only did I know the beautiful bride, but I also know many of the incredible bridesmaids and guests. Speaking of incredible bridesmaids, there were a total of 8 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen, now that’s a party! By far the largest wedding party I’ve had to direct, but knowing many of the people involved made it a lot easier and meant I could get in on the jokes and banter!

During the preparations we even had a cheeky visit from the resident pony who saw the bridal bouquets and was a little curious, thankfully no bites were taken!

While I was hanging out with the ladies, my second for the day, Wilton, was over at Baldivis Farm Stay with the lads who were going through their last minute shaving and preparation for the special day. They even found time to have a bit of a kick of the footy in between, and time to relax with some classic Emu Export.

The ceremony itself was under the wooden arbour at Baldivis Farm Stay, with the golden sun flowing through the macrame behind the couple. Flanked by their impressive wedding party and surrounded by their loved ones they said some very emotional vows. Following the ceremony, congratulations and family portraits I got to spend some time around the grounds with all 18 wedding party members! Lots of laughter, fun and Emu Export to be had as the sun slowly started to set, and lots of joking around amongst the guys.

As the last light poked through through the trees, we all entered the reception and the partying really began! Speeches, the first dance, a very personal dance for Karly by Jack and even a bit of musical chairs to decide who would retrieve the garter made for a lot of laughter! What an incredible day <3
