Shannon & Regan Harold Boas Gardens Wedding Photography

Shannon and Regan were married on Saturday the 3rd of September 2016 in the beautiful Harold Boas Gardens! Preparations for their special day began with Shannon in their family home. Her bridesmaids and got their hair and makeup done while surrounded by Shannons family members who included her adorable little  Her adorable little daughter who was being left until the last moment to get dressed so as to not dirty her beautiful dress! Long story short, somehow she still managed to disappear after getting dressed and was discovered having tipped the dog biscuits into the dogs water, and then the entire thing over herself while in her dress! Thankfully it dried quickly and didn’t leave a stain! :)

All of the little details that went into the preparation really paid off, from Shannon’s wedding car having a cute little teddy bear strapped to the front of it, the shoes, jewellery, hair and makeup, and her dress was absolutely stunning! With her bridesmaids in beautiful purple dresses it was finally time to make our way to the wedding venue, Harold Baos Gardens. When I had met Shannon and Regan here for their prewedding meeting they had spoken about just how much they loved the greenery and the natural setting even though it’s nestled right in amongst the city. Their favorite bits of the park were the waterfall and a beautiful big tree, which Shannon really wanted to climb and get a photo in on their wedding day!

After a lovely ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest, it was off to the bridal party photos and they were some of the funnest photos I’ve ever done! Not only did Shannon get to climb the tree she had fallen in love with, but the entire bridal party joined her! Other photos included picking the bride and groom up, and Shannon had written “save me” on the soles of her shoes for a Pinterest inspired photograph!

After bridal party photos around the gardens, we all travelled out to the reception venue, the family home in Swan View. And WOW! what a stunning view of Perth! With the setting sun casting it’s last light out over the beautifully prepared reception area, from blankets that were handmade by a family member, through to the custom made TARDIS next to their galaxy themed cupcakes – it was all absolutely wonderful!

Wishing you all the very best, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day! <3

Mary & Gannon New Norcia Wedding Photography

I first met with Mary and Gannon at Dome in Bassendean to discuss their plans for their wedding. Such a lovely and genuine couple, they were very excited to be having their ceremony in New Norcia. A lovely little place 132km North of Perth. Gannon had a lot of history in New Norcia, having attended there as a child! They told me that to get married there you needed to have a special connection as the town likes to keep an authentic and community spirit.

Finally after our meeting their special day was here! I arrived in New Norcia before the ceremony to meet with Gannon at the St Ildephonsus College so that I could photograph himself, his guests and the stunning chapel where their ceremony would be taking place! Filled with ornate paintings, carvings, a hand made ceiling and beautiful stained glass windows everywhere it had a very regal and a very holy aura attached to it. Gradually as the guests arrived and filled up the pews, you could see the excitement growing amongst Gannon and his friends and family. Not too long after, Mary arrived looking absolutely radiant. With her brother walking her down the aisle, she approached her fiance and the priest who would be conducting their ceremony.

Mary and Gannon’s beautiful ceremony lasted around 1 hour, and was filled with heartfelt and emotional readings from friends and family members, and songs by a wonderful gospel singer, as well as communion for the bridal party and all of their guests.

After their ceremony had concluded, we all ventured out the front of the stunning chapel for congratulations, a group photo, and the throwing of a lot of rice! Following this, we made our way down to the Monastery and the Abbey Church for their bridal images, which both held personal meaning to them. With the rain looming, we arrived back at the New Norcia Hotel where their reception was being held and were greeted again by their guests, where we got another group photo in front of this wonderfully old building.

This then lead to the serving of a delicious entree, the beautiful speeches by family and friends, and a wonderful main and dessert. Thank you both for not only allowing me to capture your special day, but for inviting me with open arms to share in your wedding meal with you. I wish you both the absolute best in your new lives together! <3

Wendy & Paul Kings Park Tea Pavilion Wedding Photography

Wendy and Paul were married in the lovely little Old Tea Pavillion in Kings Park. A lovely old building with views looking out over the Swan River and the Perth CBD.

Surrounded by their loved ones and friends, Wendy arrived in a very cool limousine. After walking the red carpet to her beau they exchanged their vows side by side. A beautiful inclusion in their wedding that I hadn’t seen before was the “Blending of the Sands”, which is the mixing of 2 vials of different coloured sands, into a glass vase with their names and wedding date on it. This symbolised the combination of them and their families together as one, as each grain of sand is now mixed and it can’t be separated! Such a beautiful sentiment!

Another beautiful thing that they included, was on Wendy’s bridal bouquet she had a photograph of a missing and loved family member who was no longer with us. Having such a precious token of remembrance is a beautiful idea.

Following their ceremony and some drinks and wedding cake in the pavilion to celebrate we did some bridal portraits around the grounds of Kings Park with the stunning CBD and the fig trees and their roots as backdrops. What a lovely afternoon!

Thank you both for having me capture your special day, all of the best wishes in the world to you! <3

I&M's Wedding Perth Wedding Registry Office Wedding Photography

I&M had a very private and intimate wedding and wished for any identifying photos and names to remain private, but I wanted to share their story and a few of the photos that don’t identify them with you as they’re an absolutely beautiful couple that I really wanted to blog about!

This absolutely wonderful couple reached out to me to photograph their registry office wedding, and it was so intimate that they only had 1 guest! They had approached me prior to the wedding to ask if I would be their second witness on their marriage certificate, I said yes! It was such an honor to have a second role to play on their wedding day, albeit nerve wracking writing on such an important document.

We met downstairs before there ceremony for some photos of just them outside the Old Perths Boys School on St Georges Terrace which has a beautiful brick wall which makes a stunning wedding backdrop! Her bouquet was filled with beautiful vibrant colours and as well as getting photos of their rings, they also had their 2 favorite books by the author Wilbur Smith with them, which they told me was something they had really connected over throughout their relationship! You can tell just from looking at the photos of the books below just how much love they have received from these two.

Their ceremony was short and sweet, but completely filled with love and their witness was overflowing with enough love and excitement to fill the room!

I&M’s wedding just goes to show that it doesn’t matter how big or how small your ceremony is, because all that matters is the love you share! Thank you both for allowing me to capture your special day, I wish you both the very best <3
