Helen & Dave Mindarie Marina Wedding Photography

Helen and Dave were married under the 34c February sun at the beautiful Indian Ocean Brewing Company in Mindarie Marina. We were fortunate to have a beautiful ocean breeze to reduce the heat from the sun! Dave waited excitedly in the sunshine for his beautiful bride to arrive around the corner, and you could tell how excited he was once he saw her walking down the aisle towards him! Margaret Matthews, their wonderful celebrant, had the room captivated while telling their love story and really contributed to the lovely, laid back and relaxed ceremony surrounded by Helen and Dave’s nearest and dearest.

Following many loving hugs and congratulations for the pair, I stole them away for a short while to go out into the marina with their bridal party. As the sun was so glaringly hot, we wanted to make sure we didn’t stay out there for too long, however we were fortunate enough that a nearby vendor, the New Zealand Natural Ice Cream Cafe, saw us out in the heat and brought out complimentary ice creams – yum!

When I had met with Helen and Dave for our walk-through before their wedding day, they had mentioned that they would absolutely love if on the day we could capture some portraits of them on a boat in the marina, so it was absolutely perfect when a couple of locals who were enjoying a few beers on their boat invited them on board to get some pictures! Helen and Dave were absolutely beaming and couldn’t wait for those photos! Dream come true! Thank you again to the gentlemen who allowed us to borrow their boat!

Wishing you both all the absolute best together <3

Hanna & Del Heathcote Reserve Wedding Photography

Our day began with Hanna and her girls getting ready, lots of laughs, and some tender moments shared between Hanna and her Mum. Hannah was most excited about her shoes which were Manolo Blahnik from Sex in the City. Such a stunning vibrant blue with sparking gems on the front, they certainly stood out from underneath Hanna’s stunning purple wedding gown!

Hanna was walked up the aisle by her beaming Mum while their loving guests watched on, smiles covering their faces. The weather for the day was perfect, not too hot, not too cold, beautiful sunshine and a light breeze. You couldn’t ask for a better day for your wedding! Hanna and Del were married at the top of Heathcote Reserve looking out of the glittering Swan River.  Following their heartfelt ceremony, which involved readings by a few of their nearest and dearest, we spent a bit of time walking around the reserve for their very relaxed and fun bridal party portraits. Accompanying us were a few pairs of very vibrant and reflective sunglasses!

Following the bridal portraits, Hanna, Del and their bridal party waited out the front of the venue for Hanna’s surprise for Del – she had arranged for a limo to deliver them to their reception. A short and exciting limo ride later, arriving at The Midnight Fox for their reception. The interior was dark and warm, with mood lighting and a beautiful intimate 1 long table for everyone to sit as one. It was here that I left them to continue their celebration of the newly weds into the evening!

Congratulations to you both – I wish you all the absolute happiness <3

I was fortunate to have Wilton from Wilton Kerr Photography to 2nd with me for this wedding, and really appreciate his assistance and vision of their special day!

James & Ting Kings Park Marlee Pavilion Wedding Photography

James and Ting were married at the Marlee Pavilion in Kings Park on the 8th of January, 2017. Such a wonderful way to start off your year with marrying your loved one! Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, they said their vows overlooking the Swan River. As you can see in the photos Ting wore a beautiful traditional gown! You could tell just how much they meant to each other from the way they looked at each other, and in the emotion reflected back onto them by their loving guests!

Following their lovely ceremony, we walked through the grounds of Kings Park for their bridal portraits, so laid back and relaxed were James and Ting so this was a very easy process!

I’ve spoken to James and Ting since their wedding and was told the wonderful news that they are expecting a little bundle of joy!

Wishing you both all the very best on your upcoming little one and your lives together as a little family <3

Jutta & Steven Wanneroo Botanical Gardens Wedding Photography

It’s not too often that I do 2 weddings in 1 day, but due to a change of wedding date, and 2 very lovely and kind couples I was able to photograph Jutta and Steven’s wedding as well as another earlier on in the day! Jutta and Steven had chosen to have a late afternoon wedding to try and escape the summer heat. Being surrounded by the lush tropical rainforests at Wanneroo Botanic Gardens it was still quite warm but being in the shade certainly helped to take the edge off of the temperature.

Such a lovely couple whom I had met with prior at the venue to walk through and discuss their plans for their wedding day, they both wanted to capture their day and the love shared, but without too much posed or styled photos – opting instead for the ever popular candid and natural documentary styled photography that I love!

Part of the ceremony was focused on Steve’s beautiful writing ability, quite a wordsmith he had crafted an amazing poem for Jutta describing their journey together and his excitement for their future! Such a lovely sentiment that certainly brought forth a few tears!

Following their ceremony, many hugs and kind words from their guests, and a big group photo, the bridal party and myself roamed around the beautiful gardens to get their bridal portraits! Finishing up in their reception marquee to celebrate with their loved ones

Thank you both for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day, I wish you both all the absolute most happiness together <3
