Claire & Trent – Caversham House Hidden Gardens Wedding Photography

Claire and Trent’s Caversham House wedding was an absolutely stunning one! I begun my day at their home with the gents who had the footy on in the background. A nice and relaxed morning with some very chilled guys and Claire & Trent’s adorable little man, it went quickly!

I then made my way to the Crown Towers to spend some time with Claire, her bridal party and her family! Making my way to their room, I was amazed at the aesthetic of Crown Towers. Giant mirrored walls, chandeliers and marble EVERYWHERE, even the elevator had a mirrored ceiling! Such a beautiful venue! Upon entering their room, I was immediately amazed by Claire’s stunning wedding dress, draped over the lounge. The footy was also on in this room – easy to recognise a sporty family. We spent time as the ladies got ready, surrounded by Claire’s beaming and proud parents.

I left just ahead of them to make sure I arrived at their venue, Caversham House in the Swan Valley, with plenty of time to get some photos of Trent and their guests waiting for Claire’s arrival down in the beautiful Hidden Gardens. And what an entrance it was! The ceremony was very simple but filled with love, and the congratulations showed a very close knit collection of friends and family.

Our bridal portraits were around the wonderful grounds of Caversham House, including the iconic fountain and staircase, lots of laughs and smiles, particular at their attempt to open the champagne! As the sun dropped below the horizon we made our way into their reception, also at Caversham. Such a stunning setup with flowers on each table and a pink ombre cake. After a break for a delicious meal, we finished up our night with speeches and then the bridal waltz! Of course the final photos of the night were of the iconic and classic Eagle Rock and the pants drop. It’s not a party until this song comes on!

Wishing you both all the most happiness together with your little family <3

Read out to find out more about Meggan & Shane’s Matilda Bay Wedding Photography story!

Our day started at the Westin Hotel in the city with Meggan and her girls while my 2nd photographer Luke hung out with Shane and their guests at Matilda Bay – which included some very friendly swans! The preparation was super chill with a delicious grazing plate that one of Meg’s beautiful bridesmaids put together for her! The view out the window was breathtaking, and if I’m being honest very daunting if you stood right against the glass and looked straight down.

Food played a very important role on the day, from Meg snacking on Pringles and Cheezels during her prep, to the donut tower in place of a wedding cake! Our morning went perfectly thanks to the talented hair and makeup artists, who joined in on the laughs throughout – making the vibe for the day super fun and relaxed. Such a calming atmosphere!

After the final touches, some photos, a few more snacks and some well-earned selfies, I snuck away to get the venue ahead of them.

The plan was to do a “first look” with Meg’s Dad a little distance away from the ceremony location so that no one else could see them! Such a touching moment before the two walked down the aisle and a great idea to do with family members or your significant other before it all gets crazy.

Shane stood proudly underneath the fig tree on the riverbank, flanked by his handsome groomsmen and their 2 dogs! First, the stunning bridesmaids made their way slowly down to take their place. Followed by an emotional Meg and her beaming father. The walk from the car wasn’t short, but thankfully it was all downhill and the wait really added to the moment!

The beautiful ceremony was officiated by their friend Toby and the rings were presented by another friend, Dave. I didn’t realise until the moment Dave stood between the two of them that I knew him. I had photographed Dave’s wedding in the past so was surprised to see him standing up there!

Following the ceremony were some quick congratulations as the sun was setting and we wanted to make the most of the beautiful golden hour glow. Luke and the guests walked the short distance up to the Bayside Kitchen where the reception was being held while we took the chance to capture some wedding party portraits – including our guests of honour, their two pooches who stole the show!

Their reception was a super lowkey cocktail event, focusing on being able to mingle with their guests in between the hilarious and emotional speeches!

Such an incredible wedding to be a part of, thank you both for choosing me to be a part of it <3

“Gemma was the photographer for our wedding in April and did an amazing job! She was so great at keeping in contact in the lead up, answering my million questions and, on the wedding day, was 100% professional. I barely noticed her there but she captured some amazing shots and we couldn’t be happier. Thanks Gemma! 💕

Amanda & Greg Conti’s Winery Wedding Photography

Amanda and Greg were married in the beautiful green gardens behind Conti’s restaurant. Amanda surprised Greg with a Hummer limo as their wedding car! What a sight!

Amanda walked down the aisle arm in arm with her Father, and wore a very unique and beautiful blue gown. A very intimate wedding with their nearest and dearest, it was a beautiful sweet and quick ceremony that overflowed with love and joy as two became one!  After lots of hugs and kisses and as the sun set over the gardens and the vines of the winery, I stole the couple away from their guests to capture a few portraits of them together with the golden light washing over them. Then it was on to the reception which was held at the same grounds. They opted for one long table for everyone to be seated at and a stunning blue cake made by Memories by Tizi’s Cakes. Such a stunning blue that matched Amanda’s dress!

The night was filled with chatter, laughter and many toasts – before I left the happy couple and their loved ones to enjoy their feast! I hope you both have a wonderful life together <3

Rodger & Hannah Stingray Point Wedding Photography

Rodger and Hannah found me all the way from cool Ireland! After holidaying here they decided that they wanted to fly to sunny Perth to get married, what a journey! When Rodger proposed, he carved it into pumpkins – now that is dedication. Their little one Elsie-May picked up a cold and was jetlagged but was an absolute trooper on the day.

Surrounded by a very intimate group of friends they said their I Do’s on the jetty at Stingray Point Reserve in Mandurah with the sparkling blue water splashing around them! A short and sweet ceremony followed by a precious sand ceremony and a group prayer was all it needed to bond these 2 together. One of their guests accidentally dropped his sunglasses into the water so in they went to retrieve them – clothes and all!

After some photos under the beautiful shady tree, we made our way back to their rental house along the coast and over to the beach for a few more sunny blue bridal portraits. It was all summed up with drinks and a bbq in their backyard. What a beautiful, casual Aussie wedding these two Irish lovebirds had!

Thank you so much for choosing me from across the globe to be a part of your special day <3
