Tara & Matthew Wellington Forest Cottages Wedding Photography

I’ve known Tara for a large portion of my life, we went though primary school together so being asked to photograph her wedding was definitely a very special moment, especially such a small private and intimate  ceremony with not too many guests.
Tara & Matthew told me the story of how they found their ideal location for their wedding. Tara one day decided she wanted to show Matthew “Gnomesville” which is in the South of Western Australia in Wellington Mill. It can be quite tricky to find but after visiting it they needed to find a bathroom, after getting a little bit lost they stumbled across the Wellington Forest Cottages and Conference Center. A beautiful little rural location with accommodation, a beautiful big fig tree canopy for the ceremony, and a quaint little fairy light lit reception area and delicious buffet catering!
My day started at Tara’s Mums house where she was getting ready, photographing her Chanel perfume, beautiful bouquet, and the wedding rings as well as her very beautiful detailed dress. Any brides will know that once the dress is on, going to the bathroom becomes a massive task, Tara wanted a sneaky little photo of her pretending to go to the bathroom backwards which was the most logical way to position the dress! Her ride to the venue was a beautiful Hummer limosuine and she was accompanied by her Mum & brother.
Upon arriving at the Cottages myself it was easy to see why they had fallen in love with it, and their celebrant was someone that were very comfortable with that worked at the Wellington Forest Cottages. With a beautiful big LOVE sign to their right, an antique signing table, and a beautiful set up, their close collection of family and friends watched them commit their love to one another. They were both so overwhelmed with emotion that there were tears all around, and Tara snuck a little kiss before the ceremony began after seeing her love in front of her! After exchanging beautiful vows, they signed their marriage certificate and were presented to their loved ones as Mr&Mrs Andersson!
After a flurry of congratulations and group/family photos beneath the beautiful fig tree, I snuck Tara & Mat away for some private sunset lit photos up on the country road, such a beautiful backdrop. We then returned for their entrance to the reception, a delicious meal, beautiful speeches by loved ones and of course who can forget tearing up the dance floor?!
Congratulations to you both and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day! Wishing you all the best to come :)

Samantha & Lee Evedon Bush Park Resort Wedding Photography

Samantha contacted me in August 2015 and her enthusiasm and excitement for her wedding were very contagious! Their chosen venue, Evedon Park Bush Resort in Burekup (down near Bunbury) was an amazing choice. They had some ideas for which photos they wanted, but they also were very happy to allow me to add my own artistic flair to their special day!
The months passed, and we kept in occasional contact, Samantha’s excitement growing with each passing month!
The day finally arrived!! I met with Samantha and her bridal party to photograph their preparations. Her dress is my favorite wedding dress so far and suited her completely, I couldn’t pass up a cliche window dress photo! Samantha chose a stunning soft pastel bouquet of roses, and they only had a small bridal party consisting of a groomsmen, a bridesmaid, ring bearer and an adorably shy little flower girl.
Being walked across the bridge and up to the ceremony by her area by her beaming Dad, Samantha looked the perfect bride in the late afternoon sun that shone across the lake at the resort. The ceremony area itself is perfectly set up to accommodate for groups, with an auditorium style set up with seating on a slope meaning that everyone could see! It also made for a perfect group photo at the end!
After their ceremony, where they exchanged very special vows, and after their signing they were surrounded by their loved ones for congratulations! This gave me a perfect opportunity to capture those precious candid moments between everyone, some of my favorite moments.
Following this, I stole the couple away and we spent about half an hour around the grounds of the resort getting their bridal photos. We had a lovely range of locations to choose from and the golden glow as the sun set was a perfect backdrop! Just as the sun was setting we finally arrived back at the reception venue and they were introduced to their guests.
One of my favorite ceremonies to date and such an in love and happy couple, I wish you both all the very best for your lives ahead of you! <3 :)

Claire & Dennis Woodloes Homestead Chapel Wedding Photography

Claire and Dennis were married in the beautiful Woodloes Homestead Chapel, I don’t do too many indoor weddings but this was such a stunning little brick chapel. After a little bit of trouble with putting the buttonhole flowers in there was a nervous wait for the bride who was fashionably late!
The chapel isn’t very big Claire’s wedding guests fit perfectly and was very homely! Being peak Summer it was quite warm but the grounds of the Woodloes Homestead is filled with amazing big leafy trees that provide shade over beautiful lawn areas.
After a beautiful ceremony inside, we did the bridal party and family photos out in the gardens, and then everyone shared a lovely cake that was made by Claire’s sister! Having been given a slice I can confirm it was very delicious!
Wishing you both all the very best in your future together!

Jade & Mitchell Wanneroo Botanical Garden Wedding Photography

Saturday 5th of December 2015 was the beautiful date that Jade and Mitchell committed their love for each other in front of their friends and family at the beautiful Wanneroo Botanic Gardens.

Jade arrived looking absolutely stunning in her Fathers beautiful old car! Her dress looked amazing among the vibrant and leafy walkways and staircases that lead down to the deck where their ceremony would be held. One of my favorite things during ceremonies is being able to capture the grooms face as his beloved enters, and Mitchell wasn’t able to stop a few tears of happiness as Jade came in to view! The ceremony itself was one of the longer ones I have photographed due to lots of readings from family, friends, and their celebrant who they have known for quite some time. It was a very happy, joyous and beautiful ceremony, with the emotion shared between Jade and Mitchell very obvious in their beautiful readings and vows!  One particularly special part was when the celebrant asked everyone to extend their hands to the couple as he read a reading, the visual was spectacular.

Their mothers lit the candle for them, and at the end of the ceremony Jade and Mitchell each released a live butterfly. One of which stayed around and rest on Jades dress for some time in to the bridal photos!  The weather had been iffy before hand but the rain stayed away for the ceremony and the bridal photos afterwards, and the sun came out!

Congratulations again to you both finding each other, and I wish you all the best in your many years to come <3
