Julie and Craig contacted me regarding their wedding photography and being an older couple they didn’t want anything too fancy or over the top! Such a beautifully in love and laid back couple, Julie even hand made her own bouquets and flower pin holes and they looked absolutely beautiful!

I arrived to their home to get some photos of Julie’s preparations with her best friend and family. It was a very laid back, relaxed and fun atmosphere with almost no stress or nerves! The look on her fathers face when he walked through the door to see his daughter dressed in white for her first marriage was absolutely precious!

Their wedding venue of choice was the Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club which not only had a beautiful big venue room but it also had marina views and a beautiful lawn area out the back where their ceremony was set up. The weather couldn’t have been any nicer and after a very emotional ceremony where there were a lot of tears, we walked down to the nearby beach and had some fun running around in the waves for their bridal party shoot – after this we went back up to the Sailing Club for their bridal entrance to which they were met with a huge round of applause from all of their loved ones.

Shortly after their entrance we could see beautiful golden colours outside from the sunset so we snuck back down to the foreshore to get a few last photos as the sun dipped below the horizon. Once back at the reception, the speeches begun and they were so absolutely heartfelt and filled with emotion that even I felt like I had known Julie and Craig for all of my life!

After a delicious buffet meal it was time to dim the lights, kick of your shoes and boogie down on the dance floor. After Julie and Craig opened the dance floor with their first dance, Julie and her Father moved around the dance floor, this was followed by a lot of very funky dance moves by some very capable guests of theirs!

All in all a beautiful, heartfelt and emotion charged wedding – I wish Julie and Craig all the best in their lives together and am so appreciative that they chose me to capture the newest stage in their journey <3
